It's hard to believe, but the museum is celebrating it's second anniversary this week! We celebrated on April 20 with our well-attended spring art walk. Our sincere thanks go to everyone who stopped by for refreshments, listened to Fay Ann Blaylock's wonderful music and created sidewalk chalk art on the corner. (Your help and support are greatly appreciated, Fay Ann, Kenny, Brock and Cade)!! The art departments at both FCHS and SHHS were each given donations of $75, monies that were collected during the walk, so also, many thanks to everyone who donated. Our fall walk in September will again be sponsored by the Museum, the Stalder Gallelry and Christina's Art Gallery.
You are invited to attend our second tribute to Pee Wee Erwin on Sunday, May 28 from 6:00-10:00 PM at the Harkendorff Event Center on North Barada Street! A jazz combo from Lincoln, led by another native son and trumpet player, Mike Brownson, will be on hand to play the music that made Pee Wee famous from the '40s to the '80s. Seating is limited for the $25 per person dinner buffet, so please RSVP by May 22, 2017.

We are very excited to announce that the museum will be open Tuesdays-Sundays from 1:00 PM-4:00 PM in June, July and August! Docents will be "on call" those three hours for visitors with their phone numbers posted on the front door. If you plan to visit, it would be very helpful for us if you would call me a day or so in advance. Thank you Glenda Nelson, Michael and Brenda Garriott, Gail Froeschl and Fr. Larry Parrish for volunteering your precious time!!!
And finally, the unique and beautiful 6" X 9" limited edition book of John's 129 Saturday Evening covers is available to Falter Fans for a $125 or more donation to the museum. This price includes shipping and handling, and your donation is 100% tax deductible. They would make wonderful gifts too!
Have a Very Merry month of May!
