Happy July, Falter Fans!!!
June has been a busy month at the museum, especially the 24th/25th weekend when Falls City High School alumni from all over the country visited and socialized. Several members of this year's 50th class, the class of 1967, and the 40th class of 1977 gathered for refreshments and to reminisce Saturday afternoon. Congratulations to both classes and GO TIGERS!!!
The weekend of July 7th and 8th will bring Sacred Heart alumni to town. Lemonade Days and Smokin' on the Bricks will also be happening downtown, so we hope to see you then!
Our book, "America Through the Brush of John Falter," is selling very well with nearly half of the 250 limited edition copies sold, so please contact me if you want to place an order.
And we now also have framed the beautiful print "Confrontation." When John sold the painting to the Richardson County Bank in 1980, it was displayed on the office wall of bank president John Morehead until he donated it to the library a few years ago. The letter that John wrote to the bank when it was sold is included with each print.
We were honored last summer with the opportunity to participate in the Nebraska State Passport Program The program led to over 1,000 tourists visiting Falls City from the months of May - September. It was a great opportunity to hit the ground running and create exposure for the museum.
This summer we have decided to focus on our Facebook presence.
We have boosted a post targeting the state of Nebraska. Take a look at that post and its effectiveness below!

You can also view the featured Saturday Evening Post cover from the Falls City Journal on our Facebook page. These posts are shared every Wednesday morning and remain available for viewing.
One of those posts was recently shared by the Art Institute of Chicago!
Have a wonderful 4th of July!!!
