You are invited to attend the 2nd Stone Street Art Walk on Thursday, September 29th, 2016.

The walk, beginning at 5:00 pm, is hosted by the John Philip Falter Museum (1622 Stone Street), Christina's Art Gallery (1604 Stone Street) & the Stalder Gallery (1400 Stone Street). Each of the galleries will be open for public viewing. You will have the opportunity to do some shopping as the local businesses will be open later into the evening.

Then, stick around as the Sandy Creek Bluegrass Band (Lincoln, NE) will be playing from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm just to the North of the Falter Museum on 17th & Stone Street. In case of inclement weather, the band will be moved to the Elks' Club (1417 Stone Street).

All donations from the event will go towards new Christmas decorations in the downtown district.

The final month of Passport has begun. We cannot overstate how important this program has been to the museum. Since the start of the program on May 1st, 2016, the museum has been able to surpass its first year total of attendance. As of September 8th, 2016, the museum has had well over 900 guests come through the doors.

If you have not been able to make it in yet, do not worry. The program runs through September 30th, so there is still time!

Please note: The museum will be closed Saturday, September 10th & Saturday, September 17th as the staff will be out of town cheering on the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

You can still get a stamp by visiting the historic The Grand Weaver Hotel (1800 Stone Street) as the front desk attendant will have access to the Visit Nebraska Passport stamp.

With large windows on the north side of the museum, one can still see the talents of John displayed without having to enter.

We thank you for your understanding and look forward to a couple of Husker victories!

The museum will have new original John Falter pieces on display beginning September 29th, 2016 and will be up through mid-November. The Competitor & Threshing Crew will be on loan from the Museum of Nebraska Art in Kearney, NE.
